The UK Wildlife Parks.co.uk website has received a new look 2012.

Further improvements are underway with the aim of making UK Wildlife Parks the most informative and useful website about UK wildlife parks, safari parks and zoos.

Some of the improvements to UK Wildlife Parks.co.uk for 2012

We are working on a host of improvements to the UK Wildlife Parks .co.uk website.

Improvements include:

  • more featured videos from wildlife parks safari parks and zoos around the UK
  • the latest up to date news from a growing number of wildlife parks around the UK is now featured
  • a new improved look for 2012
  • new “keepers section” where keepers at the wildlife parks around the UK can post articles, news and information about the park or animals which they work with directly to the UK Wildlife Parks website
  • new shop added featuring wildlife books, wildlife DVDs and other wildlife

Other planned improvements

We are also working on a searchable directory of wildlife parks safari parks and zoos in the UK to help those searching for particular animals or features of a wildlife parks safari park zoo in UK to find exactly what they are looking for.

Many of the wildlife parks, safari parks and zoos in the UK are undertaking important work towards wildlife conservation, education that wildlife and promoting the well-being and survival numerous species from around the world.

Our aim and publications is to help wildlife organisations promote themselves online and the work they are doing.

A trip to a wildlife park, safari park or zoo makes a fabulous day out.

Kids love is wildlife parks and for those interested in wildlife photography a trip to wildlife parks around the UK makes for a great day out.

Launch of the Animal Publications Brand

We have been publishing a growing number of animal related websites for a number of years.

The portfolio is now starting to expand and improve fast.

Time has come for the animal websites we publish to come under one central brand bringing together the portfolio.

Animal Publications (TM) is the brand under which we will be operating our animal related websites going forward.

Animal Publications

The advantage for a central branded network is that we can can promote the websites in our portfolio centrally.

Administration of our websites and support for directory listings, advertisers, editors and publishers can be centralised.

Animal Publications will be introducing a dedicated central online support system for organisations and businesses working with Animal Publications on any of the websites in a portfolio.

A temporary holding website for the animal publications brand has been launched and work on our long-term  Animal Publications website will commence shortly.

Zoos Directory.com | Launch 2011

Launch of Zoos Directory.com

2011 see the launch of our central wildlife blog on this website and our new Zoos Directory.com website.  Zoos Directory is a web directory of World Zoos, Zoos from around the World.

Our aim with Zoos Directory is to help promote zoos and what Zoos are doing to help Wildlife Conservation around the world.

Zoo’s also are important for education particularly particularly about wildlife and conservation issues.

Zoo’s are involved in breeding projects for endangered species.

Plus Zoos make a great day out for the whole family.

So Zoos Directory will be aiming to build the largest directory of Zoos from around the World in it’s central directory section.

BBC’s “Planet Earth” DVD

BBC’s “Planet Earth” DVD Series

The BBC’s “Planet Earth”  is truly one of the most amazing documentary series ever made about the planet we live on.

A real insight into Planet Earth and the wildlife around us and around the globe.

This BBC series is one of my favourites and certainly one of the most difficult to make with some truly amazing wildlife photograhy.

I simply loved it and would recomment it to anyone interested in wildlife and the planet we live on.

Never taken much of an interest in wildlife before? Well this will blow your mind and open the world of wildlife up for you for sure.

The series also tackles some of the danagers we face as humans and what we are doing the the planet.

Breathtaking DVD and a great present ! (mine was a present and what a great one!)

As I have got older and largely through a love of photography I have taken a much greater interest in wildlife.

At the time of setting up this blog I was watching the BBC’s “Planet Earth” series of DVDs and particular at this moment ”The Future” episodes.

Clearly different people have different interests in Wildlife and it’s preservation or conservation but one of the scientists interviewed made a comment along these lines and it struck a cord with me:

“This world generation is the first in history that  has the opportunity to join together to take positive action to preserve and protect wildlife and natural resources across the globe. If we fail to take that action we will probably be the most vilified (To make vicious and defamatory statements about- hated) generation of all time. “

That statement seems so true to me.
